Aloha and welcome to my home page. I'm Bill Georgi, a 53 year-old resident of the garden island of Kaua'i, in the beautiful state of Hawai'i. In this page, I'll give you an opportunity to find out more about Kaua'i and my interests.
I am married to JoAnne, who is a true companion. I have four daughters; JoAnne has two daughters and a son. Between us, we have 14 grandchildren, with the 15th on the way! All of our kids and grandkids live on the mainland. We have acquired a dog, Rumrunner, along the way.
We pursue a number of interests, but our major activity is competitive duplicate bridge. We can't play much of Kaua'i, but we do get off-island for the occasional tournament. We hope to get to the North American Bridge Championships in March. About the only sports team that we follow is University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Volleyball. Both JoAnne and I used to play, and really enjoy the game. The UH men's team isn't half bad either! We also plan to attend the upcoming Mastercard PGA Grand Slam of Golf, probably to be held again on Kaua'i in November of this year.
We also enjoy snorkeling...I also sometimes pursue SCUBA and underwater photography. Do you want to see some of the underwater photos? I think that I enjoy underwater photography because it is much more difficult than above water photography!
I play at golf and volunteer to lead tours through the National Tropical Botanical Garden's Allerton Garden. That means that I can get in free...and enjoy the beautiful spaces and plants in this world class art garden. If you are lucky enough to come to Kaua'i, do plan on visiting this and other of the NTBG gardens. If you are interested in wood and woodworking, please check out these koa samples (Be patient, they will take a while to load). Another current interest is bamboo.
I also am interested in science fiction, medieval history, and Biblical history. About the only regular television shows that I watch are Babalon 5, and Star Trek - Deep Space 9. Some of my favorite authors include W.E.B. Griffin, Tom Clancy, Leo Buscaglia, Rod Cooper, Joshua Slocum (first man to sail alone around the world), Laura Lemay (writes HTML texts), and Sun Tsu. Some of my favorite bridge authors include Easley Blackwood, Matthew Grannovetter, Mike Lawrence, and Zia Mahmood.
Yes, yes, I do work as a Lead Analyst; no I won't put a resume in my page...for which you should be very thankful, since I've had a lot of jobs over the past 31 years!
I also have a real estate license, which I keep active with Turtle Cove Realty
. Do check out our web presence, as we have some fabulous properties available!

National Rifle Association to support your right to keep and arm bears. Or something like that. A much maligned organization that teaches gun safety and marksmanship to young and old alike. They also run some fine courses for law enforcement.
American Mensa for intelligent conversation.
The Dilbert Comic Strip which is required reading (daily) for all of us engineering, computer, and other office types.
The Sherman's Lagoon Comic Strip which is required reading (daily) for all of us SCUBA and other underwater types... Even if we don't get wet as often as we'd like.

HTML Writers Guild (HWG), where you can learn to write HTML, how set up your own home page, and lots more! (But don't blame this page on them...)
